Ticker Analysis Sample

This sample illustrates a number of useful Cloud Foundry features:

• Redis Publish/Subscribe functionality to issue streaming updates to the browser using Socket.IO.
• MongoDB to capture data streaming through Redis and to power a web UI summarization tool.

Ployglot Programming:

The app itself is composed of multiple architectures:

• The web UI is powered by Node.JS, Socket.IO, and Express on the server side...
• ...and uses the dojo toolkit and Socket.IO on the client side.

How this example works:

To use this example, click on a ticker symbol from the stream at the top of the page. A detail box should appear at the right of the page with summarization information for that symbol pulled from a document in MongoDB.
